are you ready to be strong?
Okay internet. Apparently we need to have a conversation. And that conversation is about makeup.
Makeup does not change a person. A person who is wearing makeup is the same person as they are when they are not wearing makeup. They don’t have different interests. They don’t have different friends. They don’t exist in different planes of reality. And you should treat them exactly the same whether or not they have chosen to wear blush or not, lipstick or not, eyeliner or not, earrings or not.
This photo doesn’t show two different people- Pretty and Ugly, Real and Fake, Shallow and Down To Earth- it just shows me. Me with pigment on one side of my face, and not on the other. Same person. Neither side is more or less beautiful, because both of them are me. Neither side cares more about pretty things and romance and crappy television and gossip more than the other. Neither side cares more about Hamlet and history and pop culture analysis than the other. Makeup does not determine personality or clearly reflect it.
Stop treating people differently because of whether they choose to put color on their face or not. Boom. Simple. Be good to each other. Imagine people complexly.
